NEC Interactive Terminal Suite: Business Process Applications Delivered to the Phone
New business apps help customers leverage their converged infrastructure
IRVING, TX, April 1, 2009 — NEC Unified Solutions, Inc. (NEC), a leading communications solutions integrator, today introduced its Interactive Terminal Suite (ITS), a group of applications for NEC’s UNIVERGE® IP phones designed to help enhance user productivity and streamline business processes for both horizontal and vertical industry markets.
Applications that integrate with business processes and help improve productivity are the focus of NEC. The new ITS standard applications will be offered as pre-configured bundles on NEC’s executive IP phones while additional application bundles can be customized to support the unique needs of customers across multiple industries.
ITS’ user interface (UI) is designed for ease of use and is easily deployed and highly configurable. The ITS Vertical Applications allow users to streamline business processes in healthcare, government, education and hospitality.
- ITS for Healthcare applications are designed to assist with patient management and check-in, patient billing, call recording and 911 emergency alerts for medical staff as well as nurse call integration and prerecorded group paging.
- ITS for Government features enhanced security, 911 emergency response, voice recording, preprogrammed conference calling, custom alerts, news and events.
- ITS for Education is designed to enhance communication between staff and faculty, featuring campus news, alerts, prerecorded group paging, preprogrammed departmental conference groups, text paging and text messaging.
- ITS for Hospitality facilitates enhanced communications for guests, including applications to display news, promote guest events, wake-up calls, on-demand recording, guest speed dialing; as well as apps for hotel staff, such as hotel news/information, advanced conferencing capabilities and automated emergency alerts.
